This summer’s Mexico Mission to Cancun, Mexico will be more exciting than ever. On Monday, February 25, 2008 I met with Rev. Felipe Buenfil at 2nd Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis. We spent the day discussing the relationship between Bethesda Presbyterian church and the Presbyterian Churches in Dubuque, and to further that relationship we have planned a Mexico Emersion this summer. That means this summer we are invited to live with members of the Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Cancun! From July 19-26th we will stay in the homes of the members. What will we do in Mexico?? During the day we will participate in two Vacation Bible Schools, one at Bethesda Presbyterian Church and another at their seed church Divino Redentor-Leona Vicario. There will be no construction or hard labor this year (only work associated with 225 children)!
HOW CAN YOU HELP??
1. We are still looking for 5 more people to sign up for this Mission Experience. The cost will be under $1,000 and we need people to make this mission happen. Please listen to how God might be calling you to go to Mexico this summer.
2. Please collect craft supplies or donate cash for supplies! We are responsible to take down all the craft supplies we need, enough for 225 children (see the list at the end of the page).
3. We are also responsible for purchasing Vacation Bible School T-shirts for the youth that attend VBS. If you are able please consider making a cash donation for the T-shirts. ($5.00 per T-shirt).
4. Pray: for the people who have and will sign up, for our sister church Bethesda Presbyterian , and for the 225 children they expect to attend Vacation Bible School!

Duct Tape, Red Electrical Tape, Scotch Tape, Markers, Fabric Markers, Sharpie Markers, Construction Paper, Colored & White Tissue Paper, Paper Doilies, Tongue Depressors, Ziploc Sandwich Bags, Scissors, White Chalk, Chenille Stems (Pipe Cleaners), and Stickers (any type).
