Lenten Services: Sundays, February 10-March 16 at First Presbyterian Church. These Lenten Evening Communion Services are held on the Sunday nights of Lent (including Palm Sunday). The services average 35-40 minutes in length.

Taize Worship Services: Sundays, March 2, 9 and 16 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Room. A time to decompress and focus on God (description at left).
Family Led Worship: March 9, 9:30 a.m. Westminster greatly values the participation of families in the life of the church. At this fun and family-oriented service, we celebrate our families as they actively lead us in worship.
Palm Sunday: March 16, 9:30 a.m. Join us at Westminster to sing Hosanna and Praise to our Lord. This service is a festival celebration of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. We welcome him with palm branches and shouts of joy as we expect him to become the Messiah we have been waiting for. As the service concludes, our mood becomes more somber when we realize our expectations of the Messiah and God’s purpose in sending the Messiah are different. We begin a week of challenge to understand God’s new thing in the life of the world as Jesus lives out God’s will for him and for the world.
Maunday Thursday Events: March 20
6:00 p.m. Traditional Passover Seder Meal in Fellowship Hall: The Passover Seder is a Jewish ritual feast held on the first and second nights of the Jewish holiday of Passover. It is composed of specific foods, dialog, and rituals that have particular meaning to the Jewish culture. In recent years, many Christians have begun to participate in seder meals as a way to connect with the heritage of their own religion and to see how the practices of the ancient world are still relevant to Christianity today. Join us this year on Maundy Thursday at Westminster for a traditional seder meal as we prepare for the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
7:30 p.m. The Celebration of the Sacrament of The Lord's Supper and Office of Tenebrae: This is a traditional service of darkness in which we experience the shock of reality that Jesus is going to be crucified and that we are challenged to live in total dependence on God. We are reminded that this is God’s story and we are called to follow, pray and learn even and especially in the darkest moments of our lives and the life of the world.
9:00 p.m - 9:00 a.m. Maundy Thursday Prayer Vigil: The Prayer Vigil will start after our Maundy Thursday worship service (around 9:00 p.m.) and continue throughout the night until 9:00 a.m. Good Friday morning. Participants will be given short reflection guide to direct your thoughts and as you pray for yourself and the world, and enter into the experience of Jesus' disciples. A sign-up sheet is in the narthex if you would like to be a part of Westminster at Prayer on Maundy Thursday, March 20.
Good Friday Events: March 21
9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Walk the Labyrinth in Fellowship Hall. You are invited to continue your focus on prayer and meditation by walking the labyrinth in Fellowship Hall. A labyrinth has only one path. It is unicursal. The way in is the way out. There are no blind alleys. The path leads you on a circuitous path to the center and out again. The labyrinth is a metaphor for life's journey and is a symbol that creates a sacred space and place to "That Which is Within." A printed guided meditation piece will be offered, meditative music will be played, and you can walk the labyrinth at your own pace.
Noon-3:00 p.m. Community Good Friday service of "The Seven Last Words of Christ" at St. Luke's United Methodist Church. The Seven Last Words of Christ" at St. Luke's United Medhodist Church. You are welcom to stay for all or part of the service. Each Word is an individual service lasting approximately 25 minutes.
7:00 p.m. A service of prayer and meditation in Fellowship Hall. Join with other believers on Good Friday for a short service contemplating the meaning of Christ's death. This small, intimate service will include hymns, prayers, and a reflective message.
Easter Events: March 23
7:45 a.m. Service of Easter Vigil in the Sanctuary: This is a service of prayer, preparation, and touching the mystery of the Resurrection. We will removed the black drapes of Maundy Thursday and replace them with the white drapes of joy and purity, bring in flowers to decorate the chance area, and prepare ourselves and our worship space to fully celebrate the joy of Easter.
8:15-9:30 a.m. Easter Breakfast in Fellowship Hall: Join us Easter Morning at the yearly Westminster Easter Breakfast. We will have a delightful medley of scrumptious morning treats as we prepare to celebrate the risen Christ in our lives. Breakfast will run from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. so that everyone can participate in worship or go to bother worship services and yet join in this Easter fellowhip.
9:30 a.m. Festival Service of the Resurrection: This is a grand and glorious celebration of the resurrection of our Lord. This traditional Easter service celebrates the wonder of God's love and grace for us as we discover that God is doing a new thing for and through us this very day.
