The Westminster Presbyterian Church Foundation generates financial resources to support specific projects within Westminster and in its ministry within the community and throughout the world. The foundation supports projects not in the annual operating budget of the church.  

The elected Board of Managers of the Foundation receives and administers gifts from Westminster members and friends to ensure that the work of Christ's church continues for years to come.

Everyone Can Participate

• No gift is too small
• You do not need to deprive your loved ones.
• Participating in the Foundation's work is not complicated and expensive.
• There are many ways for your interests in Westminster's future to be expressed.
• All gifts are tax deductible.

Foundation Gift Choices

CASH    Make a single gift, a gift each year, or pledge over several years.

BEQUEST    Include in your will: "I give to Westminster Foundation, Dubuque, Iowa, the sum of $                (and/or the securities or other property described herein, namely                    )."

INCOME FUND    A gift of $2000 or more is invested in a pooled fund. The donor receives a share of the fund's income in proportion to the amount invested.

TRUSTS    Revocable and irrevocable trusts and other financial and estate planning devices can be arranged to benefit you first and the Westminster Foundation later on.

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITY    A gift of $2000 or more is invested and the donor receives a guaranteed payment for life based on the donor's age at the time of the gift.

INSURANCE    An existing or new policy may be given to Westminster Foundation. The Foundation also may be designated as the beneficiary.

STOCKS, BONDS, REAL ESTATE    Property that has appreciated allows a tax deduction for the current market value without incurring tax on the capital gain.

CHARITABLE REMAINDER ANNUITY    The donor receives income from the appreciated value.
